Factors and Procedures Used in Admissions
Part-time MBA program
The MBA Admission Committee takes a holistic view when considering an applicant for admission into the program. Applicants must submit the following: - application - GMAT/GRE scores - two letters of recommendation - official transcripts - resume - personal statement Most of our students have an average of 8 years of work experience; a small number of admits begin immediately after completion of their undergraduate degree. Once a student has submitted a completed application, our program coordinator prepares a review packet which is circulated electronically to all committee members for review and decision. The committee will schedule a meeting to discuss select students and some students are invited in for interviews with the Director of Graduate Programs and/or the Associate Dean of Graduate Programs.

Curricula Descriptions
Part-time program
Butler prides itself on having coursework that blends theory with practice. Right from the start students get to work with real company executives solving a real business problem. They start with a small problem in Gateway and end with a large strategic problem in Capstone. Nearly all of the other classes have some sort of real world simulation or company project that require teamwork and presentations. Each student is assigned an executive leadership coach who works with the student to hone their leadership skills and implement a leadership development plan. Between our leadership curriculum, leadership coaching program and our Board Fellows Program we develop community leaders who will help shape the community in which they live. Our coursework is delivered in a traditional evening and weekend class setting by full-time faculty engaged with the business community and by adjunct faculty with relevant real-world experience. In some cases, classes are co-taught by faculty and executives. We have concentrations in Entrepreneurship, Finance, International Business, Leadership and Marketing.
Specialty master's program
The Butler Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) degree accelerates and challenges students to achieve a real competitive advantage. The program's 100% placement rates from from integrating with the Indianapolis and regional accounting industry and on-campus Career Development program, giving students ample engagement opportunities with employers. There are two degree tracks offered: the accelerated four-year/dual-degree option and the traditional, fifth-year degree option. Both tracks result in a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Master of Professional Accounting degree, providing students with 150 credit hours required for the CPA certification.
